Who we are and the scope of this policy
SIIPS Infrastructure Technologies Limited (SIIPS, we, us or our) provides privacy-focused identity and participation infrastructure for consumers and merchants. This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit our website, register an interest, create or use a SIIPS ID, communicate with us, or participate in the SIIPS network.
Where SIIPS determines why and how personal data is processed, SIIPS acts as the controller of that data. A participating merchant may separately act as a controller for information it collects for its own business purposes.
Personal data we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with SIIPS. We aim to collect only what is reasonably needed to operate and protect the network.
- Registration and identity information, such as your name, email address, mobile number and SIIPS identifier.
- Merchant information, including business details, contact information, location, sector and information submitted during onboarding.
- Verified participation records and technical events needed to operate a SIIPS ID and determine network access or status.
- Communications you send to us, including support requests, feedback and related correspondence.
- Website and device information, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps and essential cookie data.
How and why we use personal data
We process personal data where it is necessary to provide a requested service or perform an agreement, to comply with law, for legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights, or with consent where consent is the appropriate basis. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
- To create, authenticate, maintain and secure SIIPS IDs and participant accounts.
- To onboard merchants and operate verified participation across the SIIPS network.
- To provide requested services, respond to enquiries and communicate operational notices.
- To prevent fraud, misuse, unauthorised access and other threats to participants or the network.
- To understand service performance, improve SIIPS and meet legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.
International transfers
Some service providers may process personal data outside ADGM or the United Arab Emirates. Where a transfer requires safeguards, we use an approved transfer mechanism or other lawful protection appropriate to the destination and the data involved.
Retention and security
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably required for the purposes described in this policy, including operational, security, dispute-resolution and legal requirements. Retention periods vary according to the type of record and our reason for holding it.
We use organisational and technical safeguards designed to protect data against accidental loss and unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so participants should also protect their devices and credentials and notify us of suspected misuse.
Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law and any relevant exceptions, you may have rights to be informed, access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion or restriction, obtain portable data, object to certain processing, and raise concerns about automated decision-making. These rights are not absolute in every circumstance.

Children
SIIPS is not intentionally directed to children and we do not knowingly collect a child's personal data without the involvement or authorisation required by applicable law. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data improperly.
